1. Single row 4-point contact ball type rotary bearing: This type of rotary bearing consists of two seat rings and spherical roller elements. Each roller element maintains 4-point contact with the raceway, which allows it to bear axial, radial, and moment loads simultaneously. The raceway also acts as a gear ring, making it suitable for small and medium-sized machines.
2. Single row cross-roller type rotary bearing: Similar to the ball type, this type includes two seat rings. However, the cross-roller elements have cylindrical shapes and are arranged in a crossed formation, which improves the load capacity to 45 degrees. Due to the line contact between the roller elements and raceway, it requires high installation accuracy, and is suitable for small and medium-sized machines.
3. Double row different diameter ball type rotary bearing: This type comprises three seat rings, with an open assembly. The upper and lower rows of steel balls have varied diameters to adjust for differences in stress. Due to the greater contact pressure angle (60-90 degrees), it can withstand large axial forces, making it ideal for medium-sized machines.
4. Triple row cylindrical roller type rotary bearing: Composed of three seat rings, this type has separate raceways for axial and radial roller elements. The horizontal, parallel rollers in the upper and lower rows can withstand axial loads and torque, while the vertical rollers in the radial row bear radial loads. As the most robust of the four designs, it is suitable for large torque applications with big through-holes.
