Advantages of Split Roller Bearings
Greater Load Capacity
Having higher load capacity than any other split roller bearings of similar size, these re-designed bearings are able to provide up to 29% more radial capacity and 16% and 90& more axial load capacity, depending on the size.
Less Downtime
Machinery breakdown during operation is extremely costly, and most of the time they are due to premature bearing failure, leading to significantly increased downtime. The E-series is completely split to the shaft, an innovative feature whereby there is no need to dismount components on the shafts (e.g. pulleys, gearboxes...etc.), in which reduces downtime considerably.
Longer Life
The E-series are indeed true performers; with greater load capacity and longer L10 life, they allow your machinery to maximise its capabilities and achieve optimal performance. They are available in bore size from 6-7/16 inches to 12 inches (160mm-300mm), with factory-set clearance whereby no specialist fitting tools are required.

Application of Split Roller Bearings
Paper industry
Split Spherical Roller Bearings are essential in machinery such as paper mills and presses, where the bearings are often located in hard-to-reach areas. The split design allows for easier maintenance and replacement without the need for extensive disassembly, significantly reducing downtime in continuous production environments. These bearings also accommodate misalignment and handle the high radial and axial loads that are typical in paper production processes.

Structure of Split Bearings
The split bearings are similar to the structure of unsplit bearings: inner ring, outer ring, and roller element set. All the parts are divided axially. The clamping rings are added to attach the bearing. However, in most cases, the inner ring is clamped with the clamping rings on a shaft.
The outer ring has no gap and is held by the housing bore. Another design is the so-called split housing bearing unit, which includes, in addition to the split bearing, a split housing. These housings are available with different features, e.g., integrated water cooling. Here the housing usually shows a minor wearing. Therefore it can be used multiple times.
