Single Direction Thrust Ball Bearing

Single direction thrust ball bearings consist of a shaft ring, a housing ring and a steel ball and cage assembly. Single direction thrust ball bearings are split and can be mounted separately for shaft rings, housing rings and ball-cage assemblies. Unidirectional thrust ball bearings can withstand unidirectional axial loads and can be positioned axially in one direction, but must not withstand any radial loads.

Difference between single direction thrust ball bearings and double direction thrust ball bearings:

Unidirectional thrust ball bearings consist of two rings (shaft and housing) and a holding frame fitted with balls. Double direction thrust ball bearings consist of three rings and two ball-mounted holding structures. In the case of a bidirectional type, the shaft ring is clamped by two cages fitted with balls.
