You'll also notice the distinct "M" suffix on the 1228-M, which indicates the inclusion of a solid, ball-guided machined brass cage rather than a basic stamped steel component. This heavier-duty cage upgrade means the 1228-M easily sustains continuous high-speed rotation-rated up to 3,900 rpm-while simultaneously supporting massive dynamic radial loads of up to 163 kN.
