22338 CC/C3W33

The 22338 CC/C3W33 is a heavy-duty spherical roller bearing designed to excel in challenging industrial applications. Its primary advantage is the dual-row roller configuration on a common spherical outer ring raceway, which allows the bearing to self-align and accommodate substantial angular misalignment, shaft deflections, and mounting errors without a significant increase in friction or operating temperature. This capability, coupled with a high basic dynamic load rating (exceeding 2,200 kN), makes it the go-to component for equipment subject to extreme radial forces and shock loads, such as continuous casters, vibratory screens, and large processing machinery in the mining or paper industries.

The full designation 22338 CC/C3W33 communicates its key technical specifications. It features a 190 mm bore, 400 mm outer diameter, and 132 mm width. The CC code denotes an optimized internal design, typically including a flangeless inner ring and two strong stamped steel cages for superior roller guidance and maximum load capacity. The C3 designation indicates an internal radial clearance greater than normal, which is essential for heavy-duty applications running at high temperatures. Finally, the W33 suffix confirms the presence of an annular groove and three lubrication holes in the outer ring, facilitating efficient relubrication to ensure a long, reliable service life in environments where maintenance is difficult.
