Lagersmit specializes in providing highly engineered sealing solutions for demanding applications in the marine, dredging, water management, tidal energy, and other industrial sectors.
Christopher Coughlin, Executive Vice President and President of the Industrial Power Transmission Business at Timken, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, "Lagersmit's addition to our product portfolio brings engineering sealing solutions, bolstering our position in the thriving marine market. Established in 1856, Lagersmit boasts approximately 90 employees, and its projected revenue for 2023 is estimated to reach around $40 million. The company's performance will be attributed to the Industrial Power Transmission Business unit at Timken.
Timken Company is set to support the acquisition transaction through cash and existing revolving credit facilities. The specific terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
