The selection is based on a study conducted by data research company Plant-A Insights, which interviewed more than 223,000 employees in the United States and collected more than 1.5 million comprehensive company reviews.

America's Best Workplaces for Diversity evaluates companies across 78 industries using sources including public data, interviews with human resources professionals and anonymous online employee surveys. According to Newsweek, it is one of the largest independent studies of the workplace in the United States.
